Ink saving printing

Hi,

What are the options that I can use to save some ink while printing? Ie, using say 80% of ink when printing?

I know that I can turn on the economode by the following, but I didn't try it with my current inkjet because I once tried it on Laserjet printer and the output is way too light.

 lpr -o Economode=On file.ps

I read (forgot where), that the following command will use less ink while printing, but I tried and didn't notice any difference with or without the option.

 lp -o brightness=150 file.ps
