Epson Stylus CX3810 not printing

I am working with the following:

Software:
Debian 3.1
Cups 1.2.6
Gutenprint 5.0
espgs 8.15.3

Hardware:
x86 IBM clone
Epson Stylus CX3810

I am able to get the printer to print a test page using:

lp -d EPSON_Stylus_CX3800_USB_1 test.txt

However, when I try to print a test page via the Cups web interface it does not print. I have been through the log files and I have been unable to detect an error although it does state that nothing was printed. Here is the end of the print job:

The entire log of the job and Cups loading is available if needed.

The Cups Web interface stated that job 33 is "stopped". The message next to the printer name is "Gutenprint Ready to print."

I've been through the Cups documentation, faqs, and how-tos yet have been unable to find information related to this topic. Could someone please point me in the correct direction?

Thanks,
Angie
