Problem compiling CUPS on AIX

I'm getting the following error when "making" CUPS on AIX (5.2):-

Making all in pdftops...
Compiling Annot.cxx...
/bin/sh: g++:  not found.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 127.

Stop.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.

Stop.

...Can anybody help?
