Can not turn off banner pages

I can't turn off banner pages on my home networked printer. I am running cups 1.2 on fedora and gentoo . I have set lpoptions to

job-sheets-default=none,none job-sheets=none,none

 I have set printers.conf to  both:
JobSheets none none
JobSheets none, none

I have added banner=false to my lpd urn .

I can turn off banners when I have the printer directly connected to
a host; this only occurs when the I use the lpd urn to my router (Siemens SpeedStream 2614 ) .

Any ideas ? what stupid thing am I overlooking ?
