This is useless because it is actually a driver problem.
The user posted more info on suse-linux-e at suse.com:

I assume the rastertokm2430dl is a 32-bit software and some
32-bit library packages may be missing to run it even on
an AMD 64-bit system (see my answer on suse-linux-e at suse.com).
