Evince collate+copies+duplex bug

I don't think this is a CUPS bug either (see my recent "Acrobat Reader collate+copies+duplex bug" posting to cups.general) but when I print from Evince 0.6.1 (the latest stable version) under Linux and print with copies=2, collate=true set in its print dialogues to a CUPS queue which has duplex=long_edge, collate=off, I get pages with the page 1s printed back-to-back, the page 2s printed back-to-back, and so on. (I will amuse myself shortly by setting copies=3; perhaps the Universe will come to an end :-)). I can't see a relevant Evince bug report, so will make one.

It's enough to make one scream.
