cupsd currently lacks the possibility to just check validity of a config
file. It is very useful for verification of automagically generated config
files. Some software that has this feature:

openldap/slap (slaptest)
syslog-ng (-s)
isc/dhcpd (-t)
apache (-t)
proftpd (-t)
openssh/sshd (-t)
