[cups.general] difficulty adding printer in cups.

Problem solved! I removed the link /usr/share/ppd/cups-transitional-dir
-> ../cups/mode  and it works without the hitch now.  I don't have any
idea on why this link is there but I like to share this knowledge with
cups developers that this link is not always a problem. As mentioned
earlier, one of my systems with this soft link works just fine as the
one without.

Flushing /var/cache/cups didn't solve my problem, however, thanks to Mr
Rob for narrowing my focus on ppd stuff.
