One of the 7.x releases.  I haven't worried about speed; it's fast  
enough for our purposes, especially given that "fast but doesn't  
actually work" isn't acceptable under any circumstances here, and  
compared to the (ancient, overworked, underpowered) old spooler  
anything under a few minutes is in the noise.
