[cups.general] suddenly cups isn't sharing printers

Greetings;
A cups system, 1.1.23 on 3 of my machines & 1.1.22 on another. I was able,
say in march of this year, to print to the c82 on this box from both my
firewall box and the cnc box in the shop, a kubuntu-6.06 install.
Now recently, the other machines cannot find the network printers defined
here. They were all visible to a browser pointed at localhost:631 4
months ago, on any machine here.
On the firewall box, an "lpstat -p -d -h coyote.coyote.den" returns this:
[root at gene cups]# lpstat -p -d -h 192.168.71.3:631
no system default destination
and on the shop box:
root at shop:~# lpstat -p -d -h coyote.coyote.den
lpstat: No destinations added.
no system default destination
But here:
[root at coyote linux-2.6.18-rc7]# lpstat -p -d -h coyote.coyote.den
printer lp0 is idle. enabled since Jan 01 00:00
printer lp1 is idle. enabled since Jan 01 00:00
printer lp2 is idle. enabled since Jan 01 00:00
printer lp3 is idle. enabled since Jan 01 00:00
system default destination: lp2
All 100% functional.
I'm clueless, and don't recall doing anything to /etc/cups/cupsd.conf that
would have disabled this. No firewalls are involved.
What should I have as Browse* options here, which are currently:
BrowseProtocols cups
BrowseAddress @LOCAL
BrowseShortNames Yes
BrowseAllow @LOCAL
BrowseInterval 30
BrowseOrder deny,allow
BrowsePort 631
BrowseTimeout 6666
On the shop box:
root at shop:~# grep BrowseAddress /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
BrowseAddress @LOCAL
And on the firewall box:
BrowseAddress 192.168.71.255
(I've been playing, tried the broadcast address, nothing else has worked
either)
Any clues as to why it has now failed here?
Thanks
