Hi there,

I'm pleased to announce the immediate availability of pkpgcounter v2.10

pkpgcounter is a Python written, GNU GPLed, generic Page Description
Language parser, available from :

  http://www.pykota.com/software/pkpgcounter/

pkpgcounter's basic purpose is to count pages in printable
documents, usually the output of printer drivers, making it an
important brick for any print accounting software. In particular it
is used by both the PyKota and JASmine print accounting solutions
for CUPS.

For some file formats, pkpgcounter can now also compute the percent
of paper covered with each ink color in a particular colorspace. The
supported colorspaces are BW, RGB, CMY and CMYK.

Summary of recent changes :

        - A plain text parser was finally added, making raw text files
be accounted correctly in both page count and ink coverage
modes. In ink coverage mode, either a2ps or enscript can be
automatically used for intermediate file format conversion.

        - The PCL3/4/5 parser was rewritten from scratch, fixing many
accounting problems related to HPGL2 chunks and the like.

        - Samsung QPDL (aka) SPL2 is now supported in page counting mode.

        - Samsung's SPL1 is now supported in page counting mode (not very
          well tested yet though).

        - A test document is now included to check the functionning
          of the ink coverage computation.

        - Minor problems were fixed in the PostScript and PCLXL parsers.
