[cups.general] parallel process stop with status 22, what does this mean?

Hello. My Laserjet 3015 on an Gentoo printer server (Ultrasparc U5) one
day suddenly stopped functioning, the print job sent to this print is
simply gone, it do not appear in the job queue and nothing gets printed
out.

Check the log in debug level, it seems parallel process stopped with
status 22.

I don't understand what status 22 means, and I could not find documents
explaining parallel's exit number. Besides, the printer used to work
just fine. What could be the cause?

foomatic-filter is in 3.0.2 which is the latest version in Gentoo.
