Hello,
I too have the same/similar problem. I am running centos4.4. I just upgraded from cups1.1.22 to cups1.2.3. I print to a hp2430dn. I find that when I start cupsd and access the admin web page I hang up the printer for me and everyone else. The only solution then is to powercycle the printer. I thought it might be something in the cupsd.conf file but haven't had time to look into yet.
thanks,
Mike
