Both patches are needed - the first makes sure that the scheduler sees a
closed client connection, and the second makes sure that we flush the
current buffer before writing the next block of data.

The second patch doesn't undo the changes from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3, it just
fixes the implementation (1.2.2 did not buffer HTTP headers, and the
changes in 1.2.3 fixed that but broke normal buffering...)
