Accessing the Print Spooler

Hi ,
   I have specific requirement to access the print spooler of the CUPS server.Is it possible to access the print spooler of CUPS(with proper authentication) and get the documents from the spooler to analyze it .And also I have another doubt , if a print job is given from the networked pc to the CUPS , will the CUPS be storing the document locally(i mean in the CUPS System).Please suggest
