Hi,
I saw "Unauthorized" in /var/log/cups/error_log, when the LogLevel is warn,
if I enable/disable the printer even by root:
E [23/Sep/2006:21:26:55 +0200] Pause-Printer: Unauthorized
E [23/Sep/2006:21:28:03 +0200] Resume-Printer: Unauthorized
Is this normal?
PS. Here is how I generated the error, though the printer does seem to be
enabled/disabled accordingly:
$ cupsdisable $PRINTER; date
Sat Sep 23 21:26:55 CEST 2006
$ lpc status; lpq -a
epson_cx1500:
printer is on device 'usb' speed -1
queuing is enabled
printing is disabled
no entries
daemon present
no entries
$ cupsenable $PRINTER; date
Sat Sep 23 21:28:03 CEST 2006
$ lpc status; lpq -a
epson_cx1500:
printer is on device 'usb' speed -1
queuing is enabled
printing is enabled
no entries
daemon present
no entries
thank
