Identical printers via USB

I have two identical printers hooked up via USB. When I add them through the web interface, they wind up with identical device URI's--both as usb://EVOLIS/Pebble. No matter what printer a job is sent to, all print on the same printer.

Is there a way to format the URI to specify an actual device file, or otherwise distinguish between two different printers of the same model?

(This is CUPS 1.2.7 on a Debian 4.0 system)
