[cups.general] Printing from Windows

Could someone describe for me the Cups plans and direction for printing 
from windows?
Are the following statements true?  

..Cups currently requires smb running on the server.
..Cups requires you to install the Cups windows driver on the windows pc.
..Current version of cups will not support the easysw printpro windows 
client used for adding printers
..Future Cups windows printing will use ????
