For a bit of background, i am attempting to write a wrapper script for a program i need however i need to check that states and status of various print jobs.
if possible i would also like to know if a job state file (temp file) exists that i can check for the state of current or past jobs.
thanks,

-Kurt

Subject: [cups.general] Print job history and status

Hello All,
I noticed that in the web configuration and administration interface for CUPS i am able to get information about the status of active and completed jobs. I am wondering what command line tool shows these details regarding completed jobs and their completion times ?

while i know lpstat shows some details regarding active jobs i am unsure how to show full job status details (for various states. i.e active, pending, complete, etc).
