CUPS Print over HTTP to Win Server Problem

Hi,

I am implementing a printing system around a Windows 2003 print server running IPP (Print over HTTP port 80).

The URL used for the printing is:

http://user:pass@server/printer/printqueue/.printer

When printing from Mac OS 10.4.9 and below the system prints perfectly and accounts for the traffic based on the supplied AD username and password, with OS 10.5 jobs will print, however the job is then held in the queue and the queue paused. The user will then have to delete the job from the queue and resume the queue.

I then tested with various distro's of Linux and found that it seems CUPS below 1.3 doesn't seem to have this issue whilst 1.3 and above will match the OS 10.5 issue.

Any idea's on how to rectify this?
