[cups.general] page sizing needs help

I am new to the list. I am having trouble getting Test Print from CUPS to
print the test page, with the border going all the way around. Right now, a
test page has border down left side, with nothing at top, bottom or right
side, which I believe suggests the page sizing is incorrect. 

I am also curious whether there is much activity on the news channel for
news.easysw.com and how I would subscribe to receive that.
