Further data

I've been playing around with file sets, since I have another computer that works. What I've found is that the filter files seem to have an impact. If I take the file pstops from /usr/lib/cups/filter on the working machine and sub it into the non-working machine I get a change of output. I then go back to having an extra page printed out. It seems that it is in this filter section that the PPD file is read and turned into commands the printer understands. If that's correct then this is where I need to look to find out why the DuplexNoTumble is being ignored.

I no longer get the two pages, now I just don't get any duplexing at all. I'm still using the HP Laserjet Series CUPs v1.1 ppd which works just fine on a computer a few feet from my desk. I've compared the .ppd files in /etc/cups/ppd and they match.
