Raster file generation

I've written a poppler-based pdftoraster filter (http://banshee.uchicago.edu/~nathanw/pdftoraster.cc), which produces cups raster documents in any color space with any color ordering that display beautifully in raster view (http://banshee.uchicago.edu/~nathanw/testpage.ras.bz2). When I feed them to rastertohp, however, I get only a very zoomed-in few of the top left corner of the page in black and white. I'm at a loss to explain what's going on.
