I suspected as much -- I was cursing CUPS for being broken; perhaps it's
Ubuntu, or Ubuntu's rewriting of CUPS. Can someone who actually *knows*
please post the whys and wherefores of this.

CUPS under Edgy won't find any SMB printers, and when told to look for
the IPP service of my little EdiMax Ethernet-to-USB printer-handler, it
will print but not clear the job once printed.

Is it possible to identify who (individual) is responsible for breaking
CUPS under Ubuntu?
