CUPS not responding

Hi to all,

I'am a Kubuntu 6.10 user and I have a problem with CUPS. I cannot install my printer (HP Deskjet 930c) because CUPS is not responding. Indeed, when I try to connect with a browser to http://localhost:631 I cannot connect.

I have hplip installed and I tried every configuration tool but the results are always the same: the program hangs up...


Anyone has any suggestion about which could be my problem?
