HPlip+CUPS troubles with lpt communication

Hi,
Have Installed FC6 with cups 1.2.7 and hplip 1.6.10 that came along. I keep getting error messages how hpiod is not able to comunicate properly with lpt port where I have HP LaserJet 1100.
I have installed hplip 1.6.12 and it is a little better, but still prints 20jobs and then stops, until i restart hplip and cups a few times and do "modify printer" from CUPS interface and then starts working.

I would like to know if its possible to disable hplip, as I don't really need it probably, but if I define device URI to be parallel:/dev/lp0 noting happens, and even If i stop hplip and unload ppdev module from kernel. Please suggest me how to solve the problem. Bellow are some config and errors
btw same printer worked fine on old server with RH9, so I doubt it's a printer problem. From what I've read it seems to me that hplip is more focused on usb devices + I see no reason really running hplip if its only basically raw share of parallel port for windoze clients.
