new problem after upgrading to 1.2.6: pstoraster crash on signal 10

apparently I get the same effect on Irix. pstoraster crashes with signal 10 by just a test page print...

I have no clue either on how to further debug this. Note that MIPS and Sparc are both big-endian machiens, I am compiling in 32bit though.
