OS : Linux RedHat i686 fedora core 6
compiler: GNU gcc

Well,my basic experience of programming concerns to Win NT and to UNIX AIX and I not so expiried in Linux programming. So may be my question is too banal and, I am afraid, should be heard: "how as a matter of fact to program in Linux ?!"
In any case, what steps to me are necessary for executing for compilation? It does not occur by like "make -f Makefile", i guess?
