Greetings;

This morning cups was hung and using most of the cpu, I presume from an
attempt to print the amanda report form that I toss on the backup stack so I
know what has been backed up last.

Restarting cups did not spit out the missing report as there apparently was
not an amdump.1 logfile generated, the reason also not stated in any of its
files.

However, looking into /var/log/cups I find:

[root at coyote cups]# ls -l

[root at coyote cups]# less access_log.0
access_log.0: No such file or directory
[root at coyote cups]# less error_log.0
error_log.0: No such file or directory

What gives? I can see the file with an ls -l, but I can't look at it with
less? Somethings definitely aglay here folks.

Kernel that is and was running was a freshly built 2.6.22, running on a
uniprocessor xp-2800 athlon, gig of ram
