Print job hanging - Printserver?

Hi,
I've been wrestling with a problem for several weeks. Intermittently,
once every other day or so, one of the print queues will hang. Sometimes
I can stop and start the queue and it will go ahead and print. It seems
if I get several jobs stacked up, I have to cancel and requeue the jobs.
Here is an error log entry from one such event yesterday:
W [16/Jul/2007:15:10:45 -0500] [Job 4087] Remote host did not respond
with command status byte after 300 seconds!
E [16/Jul/2007:15:10:45 -0500] PID 1964 (/usr/lib/cups/backend/lpd)
stopped with status 1!
I [16/Jul/2007:15:10:45 -0500] Hint: Try setting the LogLevel to "debug"
to find out more.
I [16/Jul/2007:15:10:45 -0500] [Job 4087] Backend returned status 1 (failed)
I'm using a couple of Linksys print servers (EPSX3), Fedora Core 6, Cups
1.2.11.
Could the print servers be biting me?
Thanks,
Joe
