From my point of view, it was not a general support question, but a - light - 
bug report :-) .

I am unable to reproduce the problem, as I was compelled to abandon cups 
because lot of tools in Debian etch (xfig, pstops) seem to be broken. I guess 
they produce postscripts files which are  not fully DSC compliant, and the 
Debian etch packaged version of etch is no more tolerant of them. By the way, 
it is not a bug of cups.
