question about raw printing

Hi all,
I'm implementing 2 cups 1.1.23 servers on HPUX 11i at this moment.
A few other HPUX 11i boxes will become cups client of these servers.
At this moment I've added a few testservers as client and everything works fine for most of the time.
The only problem i've had so far is printjobs that are send from one specific server to one specific printer hang up (put a 100% load on) a cpu from one of the cupsservers.
I've tracked the problem down to an application that adds PCL codes to the printjobs it sends.
This was done because the standard HPUX printscheduler and interfacescripts couldn't use some features on the printer that the customer wanted to use.
Unfortunately the application is to be phased out end of this year, so this behaviour cannot be changed since there is a freeze on it.
I don't know exactly what the PCL does, but I can find it out if I need to.
Now I've created a second 'raw' printqueue to the same printer. Most jobs are printed fine, there's one job though that should be printed in landscape but it comes out in portrait. I've noticed that all options that I set to the lp command are ignored.
So my question is : what can I do to get this right ?
Thanks in for any suggestions !!
Mark
