IPP Subscriptions and Notifications

I'm trying to set up IPP notifications to send a message when a printer is out of paper, but I'm not having much luck finding examples of what I should put in /etc/cups/subscriptions.conf to accomplish this.  If anyone could point me at a few examples or let me know if there is some tool I should be using apart from manually editing subscriptions.conf, that would be great.
