No print, Blank log page, Canon MP530 - Found the Problem

Found the following error message and a similar one for libtiff.so.3 in /var/log/cups/error_log:

D [09/May/2007:11:45:57 -0400] [Job 289] /usr/local/bin/cifmp500: error while loading shared libraries: libpng.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Created the symbolic links libtiff.so.3 and libpng.so.3 and pointed them to the versions of those two libraries that are installed on my system ( libtiff.so.4.2.1 and libpng12.so.0 ). That fixed the problem. I am able to print to the Canon PIXMA MP530 now.
