Hello!
I just install cups on my home server (called later "serv"), plug my USB printer, install it.. all works from my server, it's beautiful =)

Now, I "just" want to:
1- manage cups on serv from my LAN [done]
2- print from my LAN on serv [... well... not done!]

What I've done for second step:
I've created a /etc/cups/client.conf on a client computer (called later "cli")
I've tried to add several time my printer, using ipp, lpd, http.... and so on, with port (631), without it.
Each time, I've tried to print "test page" from cli, reading error_log on serv.

It _seems_ that through "ipp" protocol, I can see my printer, but it's marked as "busy, printing".. well, nothing coming out. Then, "print test page" on cli, reading log on serv :
D [27/May/2007:19:06:32 +0200] cupsdAcceptClient: 7 from 192.168.3.12:631 (IPv4)
D [27/May/2007:19:06:32 +0200] cupsdReadClient: 7 POST / HTTP/1.1
D [27/May/2007:19:06:32 +0200] cupsdAuthorize: No authentication data provided.
D [27/May/2007:19:06:32 +0200] Get-Printer-Attributes ipp://nimo:631/
D [27/May/2007:19:06:32 +0200] Get-Printer-Attributes client-error-not-found: The printer or class was not found.
D [27/May/2007:19:06:32 +0200] cupsdProcessIPPRequest: 7 status_code=406 (client-error-not-found)
D [27/May/2007:19:06:32 +0200] cupsdCloseClient: 7

I don't know what to do now... If someone has a working configuration...

I'm running gentoo, and cups version is :
[I--] [ ] net-print/cups-1.2.9 (0)
on all my computers.

Thanks in advance!

Regards

C.
