designjet paper orientation

Hi there

We got a hp designjet 500 that we feed through cups djet650 driver (the only one that worked). If we plot some A1 sizes we would lave to have them out in landscape. However both options below fail:

-o landscape
-o orientation-requested=2

fail. The plotter then ejects a blank page. We send pdf files generated through gs from windwos client's pdf printers to cups. If it is useful I can send a sample page.

Does anyone know how to output landscape A1?
