Cups 1.2 Redhat 5 - Read spool on startup ?

Hi

I am using cups on a RH Enterprise 5 server (1.2.4-11.14.el5_1.3, latest and greatest) and I noticed that on restart, the jobs in the spool directory (printer not available etc.) are not processed and they stay there w/ no chance of ever being printed. Also the job numbering is reset.

Anyone w/ an idea on how to process these jobs automatically on cups restart ? How can we preserve the job numbers also ?
