[STR New]

We're currently running the native CUPS 1.2.4 on RHEL 5 (currently testing
as a replacement for DG-UX print server). We'd like to request the ability
to CREATE A CLASS WITHIN A CLASS which would allow jobs submitted to a
single class to propagate to "controlled" sub-classes (can control printer
access via classes without losing access to a printer resource altogether).
We're looking for this functionality for a single server which would be
handling ALL the printjobs from various Distribution Centers. Again, we
like the class within a class concept as it'll give us PRINTER CONTROL
(which is extremely important in our setup). Up to this point, we haven't
found any options beyond "in-house coding" which we prefer to avoid. If
this is something which is "in the works" for a newer release of CUPS,
please let us know!
Thanks a bunch!
Tony
