[cups.general] error while using samsung clp-500

Hi
i am trying to use samsung clp-500 as a windows shared printer over smb..and
also as a generic post script printer..which i am not able to..Can somebody
please shed some light on it
....While using it over smb...it shows succesfully printed in status....but
in actually nothing come out of the printer ...On the other hand we are able
to print from the window machine using the proprietary drivers
