Large cups systems?

Our largest print cluster at the moment:
477 printers
20000-30000 jobs per week

Protocol: polling (maybe ldap in the future)
OS: SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
CUPS version: 1.2.11

Printer clients: HP-UX and Linux server
Printer types: laser, ink jet, dot matrix, thermal, label, line-at-a-time
