lpq -Php4, connection to host is down

Dear Anybody within hearing;

Any insight at all is very much appreciated! I wonder how I can figure out where an old Mandrake lpr is failing to connect to a new Ubuntu cups? Is this even possible?

Scratching my head looking confused,
