But how does it come that CUPS recognizes the job as text/plain?

D [26/Oct/2007:14:18:11 -0400] [Job 2650790] envp[20]="CONTENT_TYPE=text/plain"

Is the character displayed as a rectangle really an excape character (0x1b)?
