How can I disable LPR byte count

I have to mention that I printed a larger document, and the printer 
started printing up until 2 pages before the end, so i guess up until 
the printer buffer wasn't completely filled. Again, after canceling all 
jobs the final 2 pages came out. So cups needs to tell my printer that 
that's the end of the document? is that a driver issue?
