Actually, that's not true on Mac OS X - PostScript normally gets
converted to PDF, which then is rasterized by cgpdftoraster.

We've not had any bug reports on the CUPS site or that I've seen on
Apple's bug reporting page, either...

(I do have 9-pin and 24-pin impact printers in my office...)
