Looks like your printer is printing the PostScript code as text...
What is the output of this command:
grep cupsFilter /etc/cups/ppd/[your-printer-name].ppd
??
If empty, the PPD is meant for a PostScript printer. If that is the
case, your printer must be equipped with a PostScript module. If it
doesn't have such a module, this would explain why it tries to print
the PostScript it received as a text file.
If there *is* some cupsFilter referenced in the PPD, said filter needs
to be present (and executable) in your CUPS filter directory (which
usually is /usr/lib/cups/filter/).
