I do not have a copy of this book. However, I did ordered it a while
ago. I have to check into why it has not arrived.

If you would please post the command you are using to add the printer,
then people like me who do not "yet" have the book may be able to help
you further.

In the mean time, you could download a copy of PrinterSetup and use
this to create the printer. The documentation explains how to add
printers with PPD's. Also, within the Examples directory you will find
a PrinterSetupFile which has a printer with a PPD specified to help
get you started.

Finally, if you have Mac OS X machines who will be printing to this
printer, then the advantage of using PrinterSetup is that you will be
able to install the driver and queue all in one easy step. Even if the
drivers come bundled on the Mac OS X DVD it is important to keep in
mind that not everyone installs these. I would recommend that you do
not rely on them being installed.
