Recreating a printer from an existing one

Any remote CUPS printer's PPD is always available to you if the printer itself is available too.

Then, if the printer's URI is

   http://cups.server:7631/printers/yourprinter

the URI for the same printer's PPD simply is

   http://cups.server:7631/printers/yourprinter.ppd
