Hi,

I have a Buffalo LinkStation Live Network Attached Server (NAS), which I have changed to use Freelink firmware, so I am now using Debian.

I want to connect my Canon Pixma ip6000D to the LinkStation so that all my various PCs can print.

I have added CUPS:

aptitude hold udev
apt-get install cupsys cupsys-driver-gutenprint cupsys-pt cups-pdf
apt-get install gs-common gs-esp gs-gpl gsfonts xpdf
apt-get install hotplug usbview usbutils

and can access the web config via https://192.168.2.53:631/

I click on Administration and get the following options:

New Printers Found:

    * Add This Printer Canon iP6000D (Canon iP6000D USB #1)
    * Add This Printer Canon iP6000D (Canon iP6000D USB #2)

Clicking on either, select the best model/driver I can, click "add printer" and the browser just displays a waiting for 192.168.2.53 messages and never returns.

I've changed cupsd.conf to debug mode, and the messages I get are:

D [20/Aug/2008:19:32:26 +0100] cupsdReadClient: 7 POST /admin HTTP/1.1
D [20/Aug/2008:19:32:26 +0100] cupsdReadClient: 7 Browser asked for language "en-us.utf-8"...
D [20/Aug/2008:19:32:26 +0100] cupsdAuthorize: No authentication data provided.
D [20/Aug/2008:19:32:26 +0100] cupsdNetIFUpdate: "eth0" = 192.168.2.53...
D [20/Aug/2008:19:32:26 +0100] cupsdNetIFUpdate: "lo" = localhost...

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Stew
