Right, and evidence for that is omitting the configure information,
etc....

This happens on SuSE 9.0 and 9.3, and Solaris 8 and 9. Configure
options:

configure --prefix=/usr/local \
     --disable-slp \
     --enable-threads \
     --with-cups-user=lp \
     --with-cups-group=lp \
     --disable-ldap \
     --enable-openssl \
     --disable-gnutls \
     --disable-cdsassl \
     --enable-gssapi \
     --disable-dnssd \
     --disable-launchd \
     --disable-browsing \
     --enable-pdftops \
     --with-openssl-includes=/usr/local/openssl/include \
     --with-openssl-libs=/usr/local/openssl/lib \
     --with-python=/usr/local/bin/python \
     --with-java=/usr/local/bin/java \
     --with-perl=/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.3/bin/perl

(The only relevant configure optoon I saw was --with-languages, which
isn't being passed.)
