problems with PDFs and images: a bug?

I have been using pdftops (Version 3.0.0 I think) on openSUSE  11.0 with no problems. I do have problems printing pdf files thru Cups from Okular. There are bug reports open on Novell Bugzilla and Kde about this. It appears to be a QT problem.
